Why isn't there a white history month?

Hey- onetime comedienne and ukulele molester Victoria Jackson, what are you on about today?Victoria Jackson Just Asking, ‘Why Isn’t There A White History Month,’ It"s Not Racist

I wrote a uke song called White Men Are Good and sang it at a comedy club about 4 years ago. I could feel the audience tense up. Why? Why is there a Black History Month but not a White History Month? Now, that the white race is becoming a minority in America, perhaps we need to makesay, January, White History Month.
Ok, just your typical middling-student-in-middle-school-level philosophy and logic. Nothing new there. But is there anything else you would like to share with the class, Victoria Jackson? Perhaps something about how the country is going to pot because it is no longer run by white men, but you are not a racist?

You know what?  I actually agree with her...BUT.... which area of White history do we focus on?  Ireland?  Scotland?  Australia?  South America?  Serbia?  Since America is comprised of many many nationalities how do we decide where to focus?  Black history has a much more a narrow field so it is easier.  Yes, the Italians and the Irish had a great deal of hardship and prejudice when they came here.  So did the Asians.   Do we focus on them?
This subject can cause you to explore many many layers beyond this question and is never ending.  All I care about is RESPECT.  We have all had it tough coming here.  Lets get over it, beyond it and just respect that we made it through !

28th Amendment Proposal

Yes, yes and yes !!!  We need to get this Amendment DONE !!

NOTE:  not written by me but stolen from my facebook.  it is actually by http://www.facebook.com/USMCHELLHOUNDS?ref=stream

UNEXPLAINABLE, INEXCUSABLE

I challenge you to read this and NOT have the will to click share.

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom
No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.

If each person that reads this will click share, in three days, most people in the United States of America will have the message.. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States

The Most Ridiculous Law of 2013 (So Far): It Is Now a Crime to Unlock Your Smartphone

ADVISORY
BY DECREE OF THE LIBRARIAN OF CONGRESS
IT SHALL HENCEFORCE BE ORDERED THAT AMERICANS SHALL NOT UNLOCK THEIR OWN SMARTPHONES.
PENALTY: In some situations, first time offenders may be fined up to $500,000, imprisoned for five years, or both. For repeat offenders, the maximum penalty increases to a fine of $1,000,000, imprisonment for up to ten years, or both.*
Oh My Gosh !!  REALLY, Really, really?
Per  The Atlantic  article , congress says we really do not "own" our smartphones.  Well, maybe the outer case.  So now, if you are unhappy you have to buy a NEW phone when you change carriers.  Arggghhh!  This is akin to my have a Nook for my Ereader and only being allowed to put in ebooks that are sold by Barnes and Noble.  Forget Amazon.  Forget buying from any other online ebook seller.  Trapped ! But hey the secondary market for used phones will become huge..ie. selling on ebay etc.  The fine is outrageous, the law is squeezing our rights to a sliver and the cell phone companies make out like bandits. Better do your research folks -before you buy into a contract with a carrier.  This will degrade customer services  because you are stuck until you can afford to buy another phone and/or buy out your contract.  GRR-rrrrrr.  This is so wrong on so many levels.

Intro: Whats an opinion?

Soon - coming soon- are my commentaries on whatever crosses my mind that I wish to put to writing..could be mundane, could be interesting, could be explosive, or could be controversial.  Whatever...it is, I hope you come back.  Hopefully no one will get too mad at me, but heyyy...it is only an opinion, people !!
Oh, while we are on that note - what is an opinion?

According to Wiki:
In general, an opinion is a belief about matters commonly considered to be subjective, i.e., it is based on that which is less than absolutely certain, and is the result of emotion or interpretation of facts. An opinion may be supported by an argument, although people may draw opposing opinions from the same set of facts. Opinions rarely change without new arguments being presented. It can be reasoned that one opinion is better supported by the facts than another by analysing the supporting arguments.[1] In casual use, the term opinion may be the result of a person's perspective, understanding, particular feelings, beliefs, and desires. It may refer to unsubstantiated information, in contrast to knowledge and fact-based beliefs.
Collective or professional opinions are defined as meeting a higher standard to substantiate the opinion.

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary:

Definition of OPINION

1

2
a : belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
b : a generally held view
3

b : the formal expression (as by a judge, court, or referee) of the legal reasons and principles upon which a legal decision is based
